Weatherproofing Advisors were successfully appointed to carry out a full CAT A refurbishment of Unit 6 Bush Industrial estate in North London
The Problem
The existing building was in a poor dilapidated state, with a need to improve the overall integrity of the building, while at the same time making the fabric more thermally efficient. The original scope of works was to remove all the existing asbestos cement roof coverings, internal decorations, and lighting.
The Solution
Acting as Principal Contractor, Weatherproofing Advisors successfully replaced the existing asbestos cement roof covering with a new profiled steel built-up roof system. The new roof covering not only ensured a guaranteed wind and watertight building, this also increased the thermal efficiency to achieve current Part L building regulations. Weatherproofing Advisors also managed the successful delivery of a complete internal overhaul with new epoxy resin floor coating, painting throughout, new carpet, new LED lighting, and office fittings, with EV charging points to the outside.
