Types of Green Roof
Intensive
Typically designed as urban architecture for outdoor living space. An intensive roof is the least common application, heavier and often the more expensive.
Semi-intensive
Very similar to the common garden with both extensive and intensive areas.
Extensive
Approximately 75% of all green roofs installed within the UK and Europe are extensive. They are the lighter by design and require very little maintenance.

Can retain up to 99% of rainwater and be recycled.
Biodiversity Roofs can be designed with almost anything in mind to enhance the ecological landscape and habitats for numerous species.
Can aid planning and BREAM applications.
By reducing the requirement to heat and cool the building thus saving as much as 15% on your energy consumption
Parks in the Sky
Green roofs can be designed and installed on a new building or as part of a building refurbishment. The planning, and maintenance of all green roofs is covered by the UK Green roof Code of Practice (GRO), (source www.livingroofs.org) and is derived from the German FLL standard.
