BIRD NETTING:

Gulls and other nesting birds can cause havoc in day to day commercial and industrial operations. Reports of nesting birds and gulls becoming aggressive, causing damage to the guttering and roof fixtures, including roof located plant and ventilation systems, can mean that effective bird deterrent measures are required.

The project covering an area of  10,000 square metres was Designed, Managed and Installed by directly employed Weatherproofing Advisors engineers and consisted of the installation of Polyethylene Gull Netting, raised up by 2m on roof mounts to allow maintenance access, using a stainless steel wire framework with stainless steel fixings.

With 30 years of experience in providing solutions of all kinds for all different kinds of roof systems, Weatherproofing Advisors can design, specify and install bird netting and bird deterrent systems. Our bird netting solutions are tailored to our clients’ specific roof access needs and bird deterrent preferences, including allowing space for roof access, protection of specific roof areas and humane deterrents for nesting birds, as demonstrated by our previous bird netting project for B&Q in Norwich:

The project covering an area of 10,000 square metres was designed, managed and installed by directly employed Weatherproofing Advisors engineers and consisted of the installation of Polyethylene Gull Netting, raised up by 2m on roof mounts to allow maintenance access, using a stainless steel wire framework with stainless steel fixings.
Local residents and customers had been complaining about the Seagulls becoming aggressive during their nesting season. At short notice, Weatherproofing Advisors completed the works in a 3 week period preventing the Seagulls from nesting on the B&Q roof as they have done historically.
