Jess Nicola

Small Works Manager

I joined WPA in Oct 2018 as the Small Works Manager.

I worked  at KMC as the first admin support that the Founder of the company had ever had. I was responsible for creating and implementing all of the admin functions and structure throughout the business. It was an amazing role and gave me a lot of confidence while learning how to wear many different hats.

WPA is a great place to work. The business has been growing organically which has created a really great culture. I’m able to grasp my own responsibilities without the fear of being micromanaged which I sometimes felt in my previous roles.

I have a 5 year old son who keeps me very busy with his sports. When I’m not rushing him around I enjoy live music and attend gigs regularly with friends.

Kirsty Richardson

Kirsty Richardson

I have worked for Weatherproofing Advisors for 15 years.

Before joining WPA I worked as an Accounts Junior for an IT company.

What I like most about my role is analysing figures, processing Management Accounts and managing cashflow…and my lovely colleagues of course!

In my spare time I like to cook/bake, socialise with friends and keep fit.

Andrew Elliot

Operations Manager

I am an Operations Manager at Weatherproofing Advisors and have worked here for 16 years.

What I most enjoy about my role is the problem solving.

I spend most of spare time with family

Zack Arkle

Contracts Supervisor

Anthony Hogan

I started to work for Weatherproofing Advisors in November 2016, so I’ve worked here for two years and eight months.

I studied Architecture at university and worked for a single-ply membrane manufacturer for over three years prior to moving to Weatherproofing Advisors.

I like to interact with clients, try to understand their needs and propose the optimum solution to whatever problems they have with their building.

I’m an Evertonian and football fan, though I’m not sure that the two go hand-in-hand…

Alan Harvey

Service Centre Manager

I have been at Weatherproofing Advisors for almost 7 years.

I am the Service Centre Manager for our Rainford Centre – I initially joined as a senior Contracts manager.

My role as service centre manager offers me diversity and challenges throughout all departments of the service centre / company. I get a great deal of satisfaction, particularly with being involved with projects from initial tender to completion of the project regardless of size or value.

Outside of work I am very much a family man and absolutely love doing anything with family and friends. And my main enjoyment other than family is very much Liverpool FC.

Ben Orton

Contract Manager

I joined WPA in 2015, where I started as a roofing operative, within a year I become a site supervisor, which shortly after I was promoted to contracts manager, which I have now been doing for two and years.

After serving in the armed forces for five years, I took a career in the roofing industry, specialising in sheeting and cladding, which I have now done for 13 years.

I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to what they do. This truly creates a family environment, where everybody is there for each other, along with the challenges and the freedom to express your opinions and be listened too and asked for advice and guidance.

Outside of work I love going to the gym and being active, spending time with my two daughters and my wife which are my rock.

James Turner

I am the National Operations Director and I opened the London Service Centre in January 2012.

I am based in the London Service centre but have a National responsibility to all five of our Service centres.
Aside from building relationships with clients and staff, my greatest intrinsic reward is when we refurbish a complete building, transforming old to new.  I like bringing a “new build” quality and expectation to the refurbishment market.
I have ridden from London to Paris on three separate occasions for a Leukaemia charity and this year, 2019 will be my fourth time.

Kevin Allen

Commercial Manager

How long you’ve been here :  I joined the business in September 2018.

What you did previously : Aside from running my own traditional roofing company for 8 years, I have held several senior construction sales and National account management positions with leading building product manufacturers.

What you like about the job : In my role, I am responsible for the development of new business, as well as looking after existing clients. Like any business development role, I get a kick out of seeing the service centre develop and grow, knowing that I have contributed.

Outside of work : I have 2 children, so my spare time is generally spent playing silly games. I enjoy all forms of sport and motorsport, as well as walking and generally being outdoors.

Patrick St John

Senior Contracts Manager

I have worked for Weatherproofing Advisors since January 2018 where my current job title is Senior Contracts Manager.

Before joining WPA my role was a Project Manager at Roof Management Limited for the period between Jan 2016 – Nov 2018.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family and following my first love, Everton FC.

Dee Rosewarne

Office Manager

I’m Bristol’s Office Administrative Manager  (I started 7 Jan 2019) and I am new to the industry as my background is 16 years in the glass trade as a Commercial Manager/Acting Branch Manager.

I love the challenge Bristol office offers – new branch, new starters and having the opportunity of learning a whole new business.

I have 6 grandchildren who keep me busy in my free time and my partner of 20 years is a professional poker player!

Clare Bryce

Contracts Facilitator

I am the Contracts Facilitator at Weatherprrofing Advisors and have worked here foor 5 years.

I like to provide support to the guys in the contracts department when they are in the office or out on site and have taken on extra administration responsibility too this year which I am enjoying.

In my spare time I go to the gym, love cooking, caravanning and walking our cockapoo Bella.

Damon Smith

I started working for Weatherproofing Advisors on 1st July 2019 so still quite new to the business but fitting in well and really enjoying it.

I really enjoy that my daily routine has such a wide ranging variety of work, from a roof replacement on a large industrial building to coating a walkway or car park with everything else in between. Also, meeting different clients as well as working in the North East area.

Shane Hodges

I joined WPA the beginning of April. Previously I was on the tools doing flat roofing on commercial builds and schools etc all refurbs.

What I like about the job ……….the prospects of going forward in the more technical side of the industry. Seeing what work goes into the running and management. Meeting new people, learning new things and I suppose not being wet or cold anymore!

I have worked as a Contracts Manager for Weatherproofing Advisors for 2 years.

I have been involved in a projects as small as fitting a domestic kitchen to fitting out a brand new 5 star hotel in Knightsbridge, London.

Working with WPA has presented me with new challenges and opportunities in equal measure.

I enjoy over coming the challenges that come with working on roofs in often equally challenging environments.

At WPA I have the opportunity to work and develop as an individual while having an excellent team behind me in support. WPA have, and continue to invest as much in me as I invest in WPA, constantly providing training at a variety of levels and I am looking forward to continuing to grow as an individual with WPA as my career develops.

Working on roofs with a company like WPA gives the opportunity to travel the country and see and experience places often hidden from public view, it often amazes me the things that can be seen from a roof top!

When not at work I try to experience everything that is available to me from Jet Skiing and Clay pigeon shooting to Sushi making lessons and walks in the countryside (stopping at pubs along the way!).

I have also recently enrolled in training to achieve my motorcycle licence ticking off a childhood ambition!

Andrew Grieve

I have worked for Weatherproofing Advisors  for 13 years.

There is nothing better than seeing your colleagues succeed and taking that happiness home. I have always believed that if we are content, happy and fulfilled in work life then our families reap the same reward.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family, and my daughter really enjoys paddle boarding. (My wife tends to avoid the water and walks the dogs on the beach). When I get the opportunity I enjoy running and cycling and typically compete in a number of events year on year.
